The 501st Legion
An all-volunteer organization, The Legion seeks to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes, and to facilitate the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributions to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.

Garrison Tyranus is the 501st unit that covers the Commonwealth of Virginia. We were founded in June 2002 after we and Carolina Garrison split off from the Southern Garrison. As of the last census, we are the 7th largest 501st garrison in the world and have over 275 active members across the state.
